Lead Pastors Alex & Sarah Hernandez
Alex and Sarah Hernandez were set in as lead pastors in December of 2020 after the passing of Terry Edwards, who had pastored of LTCF for over forty years with his amazing wife Cheryl.
Alex was born and raised in South Lake Tahoe, and started attending the Glad Tidings (now LTCF) in middle school, where he encountered God in an undeniable way. He eventually grew to become a leader in the church and joined that staff of CEI as an evangelist, equipping churches to share their faith. After several years serving in CEI, Alex moved to Portland, Oregon to attend Portland Bible College, where Sarah also attended. They married in 1999, and have since spent many years serving local churches and ministries in many ways. They share a passion for the local church, evangelism, community outreach and Bible teaching. Their heart is to see people discover God in an undeniable way, realizing His sacrificial love that gives them new life in Jesus.
Alex and Sarah have three children, Eva and Levi who are in college and Leanora in High School. They also enjoy the best English Spring Spaniel you could ever meet, Tully.

At the beginning of 1981, Sandra and her family moved to South Lake Tahoe from Church of Glad Tidings in Yuba City, California. Her son was born the same year and was raised in Tahoe. She has served on staff at LTCF for over forty years and his a wealth of wisdom and knowledge! Her joy is to serve the church and others and is the joy of our church family!
Jodi Owen

Jodi and her husband Michael moved to South Lake Tahoe in June of 1989. They visited LTCF and fell in love with the church and the area and decided this is where they wanted to raise their four children. All of their children are now grown with families of their own, giving Jodi seven grandchildren who all live here in Tahoe. She’s had the privilege of working at LTCF / CEI since 2013. She loves her family and my church family! God is always faithful and good!

Bekah was born and raised at LTCF and is now raising her four children with her loving husband here in beautiful South Lake Tahoe. She wears many hats - event coordinator, administrative assistant, and worship leader.
Jason Layantara

Jason was born and raised in Surabaya, Indonesia. He moved to South Lake Tahoe in 2022 after living in Portland, Oregon for six years. Jason attended Portland Bible College when Pastors Alex and Sarah were serving as Dean of Students, receiving his bachelors in Theology. He went on to receive his Masters in Christian Leadership. He enjoys playing soccer, tennis, badminton, reading books, traveling and serving the church!

Dan and April Herrera love children! They have served as children’s pastors for over twenty-five years. They have a passion for fostering and adopting children, adopting several of their own and fostering more than we can count!
