It's A Wonderful Life

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
— James 5:16, NLT

It produces wonderful results

I love that.

I love it because we so often fear that our confessed sins will push people away and bring rejection into our lives. Yet in God's kingdom it's so opposite. He gives grace and embraces us as individuals, not as the sin we confess. And often it's through the human arms of our friends, pastors, mentors, that He embraces us. As we confess and stay accountable to each other, and pray for one another, that effective prayer produces wonderful results.

Truth and Love go hand in hand.

We cannot have a healthy relationship without one or the other. As we follow God's leading in our accountability, we will find how to balance truth and love. Because of God's unfailing, zealous love for us, the truth is we need to live like Christ. It's all in order to keep us close to His heart. It's not binding or harmful, it's not for the purpose of keeping us away from good things.

It's to bring us into better things. A better life than you ever dreamed. It produces wonderful results that you never thought possible; but God did.
